Cavity Prevention

Cavity prevention is the key to achieving and maintaining a beautiful, healthy smile. By following these simple and effective principles you decrease the possibility of developing cavities. Brushing your teeth for at least two to three minutes at a time, a minimum of three times a day and flossing once a day will help rid your teeth of all the bacteria and plaque build-up. Also, fluoride helps to ensure the health of our teeth. While most communities have fluoridated city water, some areas do not have fluoride in their water. Consult your dentist to confirm whether or not your water is fluoridated and what steps you need to take if it is not. Finally, seeing your dentist every six months will allow for thorough teeth cleanings and early detection of potential problems that could become more serious in the future.
